The STEM Finance Learning Exchange

The Finance Learning Exchange (FLE) supports coursework, work-based experiences and opportunities for students to learn about careers in accounting, banking services, business finance, insurance, property and real estate management, securities and investments. The initiative helps students determine if these career paths might be a good fit for them.

Educators can enlist the FLE to improve the coordination and delivery of resources, work-based opportunities, career guidance and partnerships for students. Educators have access to professional development opportunities, curriculum and other resources so they can support their students in choosing a career and preparing for post-secondary coursework or applicable industry competencies.

The FLE is one of several learning exchanges in Illinois for careers related to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Econ Illinois guides the planning of the FLE, identifying, building, and coordinating a statewide network of key private and public stakeholders to develop and implement the Exchange. Stakeholders include business leaders, professional organizations/associations, workforce investment boards, educational institutions, student organizations, research centers and other community partners.

The STEM Learning Exchanges are part of the Illinois Career Pathways program, emphasizing the important connections industry professionals can have on students and their workforce development.

Econ Illinois is accepting financial gifts to support the Finance Learning Exchange.  These funds are very much appreciated and needed to support college and career readiness for students at all grade levels. Please consider a contribution today!
